Kind words from our residents and families

At Woodlands we often receive letters and cards expressing the thoughts of our residents and their families, here is a small selection.

“ My Mum went into Woodlands in 2013, she went in frail, unable to walk and full of bedsores from a local hospital, and soon after her transfer she was up and about, all the bedsores had disappeared and she was full of life. The care delivered by the staff at Woodlands is of a very high standard, they deliver individualised personal care, with care, empathy and positive regard, giving dignity and respect. The staff do activities, they have parties inviting families and carers, and even decorate the residents bedrooms with hand painted pictures, creating a sensory environment for those affected with dementia like my Mum. Every staff member is pleasant and has a positive, caring, patient-centred approach. Mum has recently passed away, but only for the staff here at Woodlands in Netherley, they extended her life for another 5 1/2 years and she passed away at 86 years of age. The staff at Woodlands have helped us so much over the years, they have touched our hearts, and will never be forgotten.”  KM

“ I look back to the time I spent at Woodlands, when you all put me on my feet again.  I Can never thank the kindness and care and friendship and putting up cheerfully with my lazy habits! Seriously, it was a wonderful experience, I shall always look back fondly on that time of my life. Thank you all very much indeed I can’t really put into words how grateful I am. Please pass on my greetings to all the staff. ”  EK

“ I would like to thank all the staff in Woodlands for the wonderful care, devotion and hard work they did for my late Mum Norma. This truly is a very special place, with such caring and experienced staff who knew exactly the needs of my Mother, who unfortunately suffered from Alzheimer’s. They also displayed such amazing care to all the family, especially in my Mum’s final days. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and care for my Mum to experience her end of life, tinged with all the sadness this brings to a family. I will have such wonderful memories of a special home and all the characters who were my Mum’s extended family. THANK YOU WOODLANDS, IN MY HEART FOREVER! “  SC
